Prices of the market after the Lunar New Year are stable and less fluctuant

The price situation of the market in the province before, during and after the Lunar New Year was basically stable. An abundant source of goods in quantity and variety as well as diversity of designs has met the people’s needs of shopping. Although prices were fluctuant in days near and after the Lunar New Year by an increased of consumer’s demand, the supply was still ensured.

According to the survey, from the morning of the second day of the Lunar New Year, many traders sold goods with mainly food at markets and points of sale. Goods were sold in these days including mainly fresh food such as fish, beef, pork, chicken, seafood, vegetables, fruits, etc... From the second day to the sixth of Lunar New Year, the prices of these items wrere not increased significantly.

Specifically, the price of beef increased by about 20,000-30,000 VND per kilogram and price for sale ranged from 250,000-300,000 VND per kilogram, depending on type. Prices of many types of fresh seafood such as clams, oysters, squid, etc ... increased by about 10,000-30,000 VND per kilogram depending on type. However, the price of chicken, pork almost remained unchangingly at the price of the the Lunar New Year’s days. Specifically, the delicious kind of garden chicken was sold at 120,000 VND per kilogram. Price of pork prices also ranged from 80,000-120,000 VND per kilogram depending on type, etc...

By general assessment, the supply of goods for the Lunar New Year from urban to rural areas and was guaranteed and the shortages of goods as well as the goes up price did not happen. Although the prices of market increased slightly in days near the Lunar New Year and the beginning days of the New Year, it was still ensured stably. Currently, the price’s most of items have been gradually, returning to the daily price.
