About member of households-rural workers, agriculture and fishery, the whole province has 1,488,304 people, increasing 2.51 percent incomparision with 2011. The number of farm is 453, increasing 271 percent in comparision with 2011. In terms of commune’s infrastructure has continued to develop well from communication systems, health, education, electricity, etc...

Deputy Chairman of Tien Giang provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said that: Through the survey, besides advantages, the agriculture and rural areas of the province still showed difficulties such as agriculture grown widely, the market consumption as well as product quality,... was still limited. He suggested that the districts, cities, towns, basing on the results of survey, researched and oriented the development of the local agriculture to ensure the sustainable and comprehensive requirements, especially the new rural construction of 2016 – 2020 period.
