Socio-economic targets continues to achive positive result

Assessing the conclusion of the regular meeting in May on the afternoon of May 29, Chairman of Tien Giang provincial People's Committee Le Van Huong said that many meetings decreased much and the content of these meeting were more realistic. In addition, he also agreed to assess the socio-economic situation in May and the first five months of 2017 continued to achieve positive results over the same period.

However, the socio-economic situation in May still had many limitations and difficulties such as: the price of live pigs was still low; the number of road traffic accidents increased compared to the previous month, etc…

In the coming time, Chairman of Tien Giang provincial People's Committee Le Van Huong requested many departments to strengthen the inspection, guidance and implementation of taks and solutions planned as well as timely solved specific problems, to promote production and business development.
In particular, he noted a number of areas, the work should focus on implementing such as: budget collection; organization of delegations to work abroad; ensuring traffic order and safety; preparation of reports, draft resolutions and reports to serve the upcoming congress of the provincial people’s council, etc...

In the first five months of 2017, almost all sectors grew over the same period. Specifically, aquaculture output increased by 5.8%; industrial production index increased by 15.1%; export turnover increased by 39.2%; number of newly established enterprises increased by 9.8%; state budget revenues increased by 8.5% (reached 48.1% of the year plan); total retail sales and services of social consumer services increased by 6.7%, etc ...
