The "Cleaning up the Sea" volunteer campaign in 2017 launched

The Provincial Youth Union of Tien Giang in coordination with the Tien Giang Border Guard held the launching ceremony and launched the campaign "Cleaning up the sea" in 2017.

This was the second time that the Tien Giang Youth carried out the campaign  "Cleaning up the sea" with many meaningful activities including protecting the marine environment and raising public awareness in coping with change limate.

At the launching ceremony, Tien Giang Provincial Youth Union urged all members, youths and officials and soldiers of the Border Guard to raise awareness about the role and importance of the sea to human life as well as propagate and mobilize communities to work together to protect the marine environment; youth forces always was active in responding to climate change, protecting and promoting the value of marine resources and environment.

On this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Border Command Commanders set up and launched the volunteer youth "Cleaning up the sea" team, donated three garbage cans to Tan Thanh commune.

After the launching ceremony, more than 150 cadres and volunteers of the Border Guard and the local march launched a campaign, dividing groups to collect waste along the Tan Thanh beach. In addition, the volunteers also directly propaganda for people, owners of shops, tourists to raise awareness not to litter to the beach and join hands in preserving the marine environment.
