Tan Dien purple onion harvested

People in Tan Dien commune, Go Cong Dong district have harvested purple onion on this month. This was the traditional purple onion crop in the end of the year in Go Cong Dong district.

On this purple onion crop, people planted a total area of 15.5 hectares, down 5 hectares compared to 2016 because farmers grew small spring onion with high price. Morever, the price of purple onion in the year 2016 decreased so people hesitated to plant more like the previous years.

According to traders, at the beginning of the harvesting crop, the price of buying wholesale from VND15,000 to VND17,000/kilogram, the beautiful species with the price of VND20,000 VND/kilogramg. With high yield, farmers got good income. In addition to harvesting onions, workers also earned more income from harvesting onion, drying, onion, etc.... with a wage of VND2,000/kilogram, the average income from VND120,000 to VND150,000/day.
