ABO - Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee (PPC) Le Van Huong has just met with 200 dragon fruit farmers in the province on April 27 at Go Cong Dong district.

At the meeting, Chairman of the PPC with the leaders of departments, localities and farmers had a fact-finding trip about a way to grow dragon fruit in Kieng Phuoc commune, Go Cong Dong district.
 
He also heard lectures by many experienced dragon fruit farmers on how to select varieties, planting techniques, care procedures, etc...

Chairman of the PPC asked the farmers about the area of cultivation, the reasons for choosing dragon fruit planting on their land, the technique of planting, the efficient of planting dragon fruit, how to sell dragon fruit, etc...

After the meeting at the dragon fruit field, Chairman of the PPC with departments, localities and farmers had a meeting at the Go Cong Dong district People's Committee. Many big dragon fruit traders in the province also shared with the farmers about the current dragon fruit output and the food safety and hygiene processes imposed by the importing countries, etc...

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the PPC expressed his happy feeling about the life of many families improved by planting dragon fruit. Through this meeting, the province wanted to connect scientists and farmers closer together. In addition, he also asked businesses to try to sell dragon fruit of farmers; the functional sectors to pay attention to electricity, road and irrigation in the area of dragon fruit planting, etc...
