Previously, the Soai Rap Petroleum Service Industrial Zone was invested by Petrovietnam Construction Joint Stock Company, a unit of Petro Vietnam (PVN) with an area of nearly 285 hectares, located in Gia Thuan, Vam Lang communes, Go Cong Dong district, Tien Giang province. At present, the Central has decided to agree with the policy for Petro Vietnam to transfer the Soai Rap Petroleum Service Industrial Zone to Tien Giang province for further management and use.

In the course of investment ownership of the project from 2010 up to now, Petrovietnam Construction Joint Stock Company implemented investment in leveling and construction of a number of construction items. However, there was the situation encroachment of people because many projects were slowly deployed.

After checking the reality, Chairman of the PPC Le Van Huong instructed the local authorities with many related sectors to invite the households encroach on the land for commitments to relocate and to return the land encroachment.
