The collective economy development needs to focus on quantity and quality

Tien Giang has an agricultural cooperative union and 161 cooperatives, People's Credit Fund, with over 54,800 members. Every year, the Tien Giang Cooperative Alliance organizes the audit for 10 cooperatives.

The content of the audit focuses on such tasks as: business registration; setting up production and business plans; the financial management of cooperatives; the making and preservation of invoices, vouchers, types of accounts used, etc...

The audit helped the cooperative to overcome the limitations, weakness in the financial management, operating cooperatives.

Through auditing, many cooperatives saw the shortcomings and weaknesses that have overcome and worked better.

Since then, many cooperatives have seen the benefits of auditing, so they applied to the provincial cooperative to support this work.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance Nguyen Ngoc Bao suggested that the Tien Giang Cooperative Alliance should perform its functions and tasks to contribute to the development of the collective economy in the locality.

In addition, the unit should do well propaganda about activities in the field; at the same time, it is necessary to restructure the organization towards the development of services to serve the collective economy in order to create a source of income for the apparatus and the building of material facilities.
 
Finally, the mission is to support the local implementation of the project of building a cooperative audit center.
 
On the afternoon of the same day, the delegation of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance paid a working visit to Go Cong Fisheries and Aquaculture Cooperative (Go Cong town) and Binh Tay Agricultural Cooperative (Go Cong Tay district).
