The "One commune per product" program implemented in Tien Giang province

The "One commune one product" program was developed to develop forms of production and business organization to produce traditional products and services with standard advantages and competitiveness in the market, contributing to rural economic development. Under the program, Tien Giang province aims at standardizing at least 10 existing key products in the communes to build and develop OCOP products; developing at least 2 tourist culture villages meeting the standard of OCOP Product Criteria; training and knowledge training for 100% of management teams at provincial, district and commune levels to implement the Tien Giang OCOP program.

Groups of products and services of OCOP in Tien Giang province focus on development including 3 groups: food; drinks group; group of tourism and rural tourism services such as Hoa Loc mango, durian and products made from durian, Cai Lay fresh sausage, fresh pineapple, My Tho noodles and vermicelli with; wine, soursop tea; Dong Hoa Hiep ancient village, Thoi Son tourism, etc ...

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said that the program "One commune per product" is the program of economic development in rural areas, in the direction of developing internal force and increasing value and solutions, tasks in implementing the National Target Program on new rural construction.

In order to well implement this program, he asked departments, sectors and localities to focus on thoroughly implementing and implementing solutions and exchanges to implement effectively the OCOP program at the local level.
