Accordingly, up to this point, the ground clearance progress of the Trung Luong - My Thuan highway project has reached about 98%; including 420 households have not received compensation yet, of which Cai Be district has the most with 374 households.

At the meeting, Chau Thanh and Cai Be districts and related departments and agencies reported on the progress of ground clearance as well as difficulties and problems in the implementation.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the PPC Le Van Huong requested departments, branches and localities to raise their sense of responsibility, speed up the progress of ground clearance for the project.

For Chau Thanh district, Chairman asked the district to closely examine the records and procedures to enforce the case of encroaching public land by Nguyen Van A.

Time for coercive implementation ranges from May 6-10; at the same time, the locality needed a plan to avoid recapture.

Before conducting enforcement, the district had to hold a press conference to provide information for the press. Since then, this would be a model for the province to apply for later coercion cases.

Besides, Chau Thanh district had actively to mobilize households, who have not handed over the ground to agree with the clearance price, compensation; to develop a plan for land acquisition progress, etc..
