Tien Giang province's export gets 1,272 million USD in first five months of 2019

ABO - According to the Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee, in the first five months of 2019, the province's export turnover reached 1,272 million USD, increasing 18.3% over the same period.

In particular, the province's export turnover in May reached 272.6 million USD, in which the foreign-invested economy reached 213 million USD, up 4.6% over the same period.

The export value of goods mainly on five first months focused on seafood estimated at 123 million USD; rice estimated at 22.4 million USD; garment estimated at 194.1 million USD, up 23.4% over the same period, accounting for a high proportion (nearly 20% of the province's export turnover).

The accumulated import turnover in the first five months of the year was 594 million USD, reaching 33% of the plan, of which, the state economy imported 50 million USD, decreased by 2.2% and the foreign-invested economy imported 544 million USD, down 11.6% over the same period.
