Customers to the market decrease after Tet holidays

ABO - After Tet holiday, customers to markets in My Tho city, Tien Giang province significantly decrease. Although the price of food such as vegetables, fruits, meat, fish, fruits, etc… did not increase, customers were still very few, making the food market to consume slowly.

Besides, small businesses selling other items also fall into the same situation.

The situation of lack of customers in the markets has lasted for about a week, making the purchasing power significantly reduced. Walking around the area selling pork at Thanh Tri Market (My Tho City), customers were sparse. Some small businesses have to suspend their trade.

Dinh Thi Kim Loan, a small merchant selling pork at Thanh Tri market said that she used to sell about 100 kilogram per a day. From January 10 until now, she only sold about 40-50 kilogram per day. After Tet holidays, pork was sold very slowly because the market was absent with customers.

According to Le Thi Lan, a merchant who sells vegetables and cabbage at Thanh Tri market, after the Tet holidays, the price of vegetables and tubers is still stable. Cucumber from 40,000 thousand VND per  kilogram has now reduced to 30,000 VND per kilogram; cauliflower increased by 10,000 VND per kilogram by 60,000 VND per kilogram. However, she sold very slowly.
