Construction of a new Political-Administrative Centre north of Cam River begins in Hai Phong

ABO/NDO- Politburo member and Permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Vo Van Thuong attended and pressed the button to start the construction investment project of the Political-Administrative Centre in the northern port city of Hai Phong on January 7, together with a traffic system and technical infrastructure system in the North Cam River Urban Area.

The ceremony also saw the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang and representatives of leaders of ministries, central agencies and Hai Phong City.

The Political-Administrative Centre of Hai Phong City, the traffic system and the technical infrastructure system in the North Cam River Urban Area were built on an area of nearly 14 hectares with a total investment of more than 2.5 trillion VND.

According to Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung, this is a major key project of the port city that will commence construction in the new year (2023) and also the first work in the new urban area to the north of Cam River - a highlight of modern architecture to attract businesses to continue to invest in the surrounding land.

He emphasised that the project is an important event marking the efforts of the Party Committee, government and people of the city in implementing the Politburo’s Resolution No. 45-NQ/TW, dated January 24, 2019, on the construction and development of Hai Phong City to 2030, with a vision to 2045, and the resolution of the 16th Party Congress of Hai Phong City.
