More than 120 gymnasts, including Olympic Champions, from 31 countries participated in the prestigious four-day event.

Vietnamese Olympian Pham Phuoc Hung is taking part in exercises on the rings and parallel bars in the men’s category. At this event last year, Hung pocketed a bronze medal in the parallel bars event.

His Southeast Asian Games–winning teammate Dinh Phuong Thanh is competing in the men’s pommel horse, horizontal bar and parallel bars category.

Thanh topped the parallel bars event at the Szombathely World Challenge Cup in Hungary last year.

Le Thanh Tung is testing his skills in the men’s floor and vault exercises. Tung’s best result at a world-level competition is a bronze medal he won at the Varna World Challenge Cup in Bulgaria two years ago.

He is joined by teammate Dang Nam in the latter event. Nam was one of top three athletes in the Szombathely event last year.

The qualification rounds will be conducted in the first two days of the event. The top eight athletes will advance to the finals in the next two days.
