The 7th Mekong Delta Sport Festival 2017 closes

The Mekong Delta Sports Festival is an important sport and physical activity in the area to promote the physical training and sports movement in provinces of Mekong Delta.

The 7th Mekong Delta Sport Festival, hosted by Ben Tre province, took place from January 2017 to May 26, 2017 with the participation of about 1,000 athletes and referees coming from 22 sports teams in provinces and cities outside and outside the region.

In addition, the Organizing Committee has also extended to athletes of the Southern region such as Binh Duong province, Binh Phuoc province, Tay Ninh province and Ho Chi Minh city for the purpose of exchanging and improving professional skills for athletes in the region.

About the result: The sport delagation of An Giang province won the first grade with 60 gold medals, 35 silver medals and 38 bronze medals. The sport delagation of Can Tho city was ranked the second grade with 57 gold medals, 40 silver medals and 49 bronze medals. The sport delagation of Vinh Long province was ranked the third grade with 42 gold medals, 34 silver medals and 36 bronze medals. The sport delagation of Tien Giang province was ranked the fourth grade with 41 gold medals, 32 silver medals and 49 bronze medals, etc…

Units that ranked from first to seventh grade were awarded excellent flag of General Department of Sports for high achievement at the 7th Mekong Delta Sport Festival 2017.
