The Pencak Silat of Tien Giang Sport Festival in 2018 opened

Athletes competed in two categories including performing with Tugal, Degu and Garda contents and competing in sixteen weight classes from 40 kilogram to over 80 kilogram.

In the fighting content, athletes competed in eight male weight classes and seven female weight classes.

After the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee conducted competing qualifying matches. This was also the tenth subject among 20 sports subjects in the 8th Tien Giang Sports Festival in 2018.
