Vice Chairman of the PPC surveys infrastructure preparation for Dong Hoa Hiep ancient village festival

ABO – On October 4, in Cai Be district, Vice Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee (PPC) Tran Van Dung surveyed the infrastructure preparation to preliminary review of the Resolution 11 of the Provincial Party Committee on development tourism in the province and preparation of the 4th Dong Hoa Hiep ancient culture and tourism festival in 2019.

As planned, the festival will take place in three days from November 10 to 12 at Dong Hoa Hiep ancient village, Cai Be district with a scale of about 700 delegates.

The festival takes place 14 main activities such as: Folk cake contest; folk games; flower boat parade; canoe racing; recreating the ceremony of Dinh temple worship. etc…

At the working session, leader of Cai Be district and the Tien Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported the implementation progress of the festival organizing plan; at the same time, proposing some issues for the festival to be successfully organized and worthy of being the provincial festival.

Comrade Tran Van Dung asked Cai Be district to immediately implement the planning of tourism infrastructure development in order to promptly include it in the medium-term public investment portfolio for the period of 2021 - 2025, in which special especially Dong Hoa Hiep ancient village.

At the same time, it is necessary to build two plans for the festival venue and report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee for decision before making a project.

He asked Cai Be district to immediately calculate the investment of the district road 74 to the headquarters of Dong Hoa Hiep commune People's Committee, the ceremony yard, etc…

In addition, Dong Hoa Hiep commune conducted a general cleaning force throughout the area, especially the roads leading to the old houses, including the canals.
