National photo contest promotes tangible cultural heritages

ABO/NDO – The Department of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has officially launched a national contest and exhibition to seek photography works on tangible cultural heritages in Vietnam.

The event is being held in response to Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23), aiming to inspire pride and love for the nation as well as promoting the preservation and promotion of the cultural heritages of the country.

It is open to all professional and amateur photographers, both Vietnamese citizens and foreigners, who are living and working in Vietnam.

The photos must convey clear messages and feature new and unique perspectives, boldly highlighting the typical value of the cultural heritages.

The entries should be sent to the organising board before October 1, 2021.

In addition to the first, second, third and consolation prizes for both series and single photos, several other prizes proposed by the jury and organising board will be presented to high-quality entries.

The most outstanding photos will be selected for an exhibition as well as published in the media and in propaganda documents on the preservation and promotion of cultural heritages.

The awards ceremony and exhibition are expected to be held in the fourth quarter of this year.
