Art programme and carnival festival promote land and people of Hoa Binh province

ABO/NDO – An art programme was held in Hoa Binh province on July 31 to promote the land, people and culture of the province to visitors both at home and abroad.

The event brought to the stage art performances praising the history, tradition and diverse culture of the land and people of the northwest region and Hoa Binh province in particular.

At the programme, the Hoa Binh provincial authorities received certificates honouring the traditional ‘Khai ha’ festival and ‘Doi’ calendar of the Muong ethnic people throughout the province as national intangible cultural heritages.

Speaking at the event, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan congratulated the Hoa Binh provincial authorities and people on remarkable socio-economic achievements and their results in preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of local ethnic groups.

She also praised the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, scientists, and researchers for completing the dossiers of the two recently-recognised heritages.
