Factory Automation paves way for establishment of robot training center

Saigon Hi-tech Park Training Center and Toyooka Company opened a factory automation and launched a survey on enterprises’ demand for Japanese robotics technology at the training center.

The move is expected to pave the way for establishment of Vietnam-Japanese training center and automation in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring southern provinces of Dong Nai, Long An and Binh Duong.

Currently, there has been an upward trend in industrial automation in the Pacific Asian nations including Vietnam. Application of robot in industries will help revamping factories in the Southeast Asian nations.  
 
Robots with precision and high labor intensify will be optimal choice for many factories in Vietnam and in the Hi-tech Park. It is proved that using industrial robots helps saving time and increasing product quality and production capacity leading to improve the competitiveness. 
 
The JPY100 million project funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is carried out by Toyooka Company Ltd. Of the amount, non-refundable loan of JPY41 million will be used to buy equipment including four electronic engineering systems and industrial robots.
 
The project aims to train more experts of robot for the center and improve lecturers in education facilities in HCMC and southern provinces of the Southern Key Economic Zone.
 
Le Hoai Quoc, head of the Saigon Hi-Tech Park (HTP) Management Board said Vietnam and Japan have close relationship and cultures similar; accordingly, the STP highly appreciated the cooperation and assistance of not only Japanese government but also enterprises and schools in the development strategy. 
 
The project is the first step in the long-term cooperation strategy between the HTP and Japan aiming to meet the demand of high quality personnel for enterprises especially Japanese foreign direct investment companies.
