This year, in addition to seminars in the fields of particle physics, astrophysics and nanophysics, the programme features international conferences and lectures related to medicine, mathematics and communication technology.

A scientific seminar on ‘environmental pollution – measures to recover and manage’, which is currently taking place at the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (ICISE) in Quy Nhon from March 6-10, was the first event of the programme.

Minister of Natural Resources and the Environment Tran Hong Ha chaired a dialogue with international scientists on the status, management methods and strategy for environmental protection in Vietnam.

The series of events during the programmes aim to gather international scientists in Vietnam to share the latest research results as well as the development of international science. This year’s programme is expected to welcome around 1,7000 international scientists.

Exchanges, meetings and talks between scientists and students and those who love science as well as forums for Vietnamese young scientists are also being held on the side lines of the 13th ‘Rencontres du Vietnam’ programme, opening-up new opportunities for young scientists to promote co-operation and develop research.
