According to QTSC Director Nguyen Hai Long, under the theme of "Vietnam – Asia Tier 1 Delivery Destination,” VNITO Conference 2017 will be the biggest Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) event.

It aims to demonstrate Vietnam’s software development capabilities and ability to provide IT services to other countries around the world, as well as promoting the image of Vietnam as an attractive destination for IT services, while expanding the search for clients and partners for domestic enterprises. It will further aid Vietnam in its efforts to create an effective business matching platform for buyers and Vietnamese IT outsourcing vendors.

Regarding IT sector development in Vietnam in 2016 and 2017, foreign agencies and organisations have given positive reviews on this industry, stated Long, revealing that Vietnam has been considered the first in the world in regards to BPO. HCM City ranked second and Hanoi ranked seventh in the top ten most dynamic cities around the world.

In addition, Vietnam also ranks as one of the top six global technology transfer destinations in the Asian-Pacific. This is the reason why this year’s event would take the theme as “Vietnam – Asia Tier 1 Delivery Destination," stated Long.

During the conference there will be outstanding presentations, including overview reports on Vietnam’s ICT situation in recent time; potential of Vietnam in the areas of BigData, Cloud and Iot; and experiences in working with Vietnamese IT companies.

The event will also be featuring key discussions on Vietnam IT industry personnel and the potential of the BPO sector in Vietnam in order to help domestic IT enterprises gain experience and knowledge which will help develop IT human resources.

The conference is expected to attract around 500 delegates, including international consultants, IT professionals and investors from over 20 countries and territories. 250 top offshore software outsourcing companies in Vietnam and 20 IT universities will also be in attendance.

The conference is co-hosted by QTSC, HCM City Investment and Trade Promotion Centre, and VNITO Alliance.

The first Vietnam IT Outsourcing Conference was held in 2015 in HCM City with the participation of over 300 delegates from multi-national and high-tech companies.
