Over 280,000 students enter the new academic year

On August 7, over 280 thousand students from primary to high school in the province officially entered the school year 2017-2018. Particularly, kindergartens will start school again on August 14.

According to statistics from the Tien Giang Department of Education and Training, on the academic year 2017-2018, the province had 132,699 primary students, over 105,000 junior secondary school students and more than 46 thousand high school students as expected.

During the first week, students at all levels will meet with head teacher, to maintain order, to clean the classroom, to study the rules, etc ... According to the regulation, on August 14, students at all levels will start the semester I.

In the academic year 2017-2018, the entire education sector will continue to foster the standardization of teachers, improve professional skills and political qualifications for teachers and administrators. The recruitment and assignment of civil servants will be carried out according to the job placement scheme to ensure the requirement of teachers, staffs at pre-schools and high schools.
