There are 104 solutions in 6 fields participated in the contest including information technology, electricity, electronic, mechanic, automation, construction, environment, health and education. The organizer has selected 36 solutions to award the prize including three first prizes, three second prizes, three third prizes and twenty-seven consolation prizes. There are many highly applied themes such as: Setting up a procedure for preventing some common respiratory diseases in post-weaning pigs in a family household in Tien Giang province; Coasting machine; Remote monitoring weather and remote water pumping control via GSM network to assist farmers in irrigation of crops, etc...

The Organizing Board awarded the Certificates of Merit of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee to six ollectives, six individuals, awarding the Certificates of Merit of the Tien Giang provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations to 27 private collectives and the Certificates of Merit of the Tien Giang provincial Federation of Labor to two collectives, three groups of authors and three individuals with solutions won the contest.

At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Board also launchned the 13th Science and Technology Creation Contest in 2018-2019.
