Three students of Tien Giang University received Hessen scholarships

ABO – The Hessen office in Vietnam co-ordinated with Cantho University has just awarded scholarship of the Ministry of Science and Arts of the State of Hessen (HMWK) and the World University Support Organization of Germany (WUS) to 22 outstanding students in the Mekong River Delta in the school year 2017-2018, each worth VND5.8 million.

In which, Tien Giang University has three students including Nguyen Thi Ai Xuan (the class Accounting College of 15C), Tran Thi Ngoc Huyen (the class Legal Services College of 16), Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam (the class Biotechnology University of 14B).

Scholarships granted by the Ministry of Science and Arts of the State of Hessen and the World University Supporting Organization in Germany came to Vietnam in 1993, providing 150 to 300 annually scholarships to students getting good academic achievements in spite of difficult condition. With the practical significance and high appreciation of the ministries, branches and schools in Vietnam, this scholarship program has lasted continuously for 25 years.

In the academic year of 2017 - 2018, the Ministry of Science and Arts of the State of Hessen (Germany) through the World University Support Organization and the Hessen Vietnam Office provided 250 scholarships for outstanding students of universities, colleges, high schools and vocational schools in Vietnam.

According to Chief Representative of the Hessen office in Vietnam Bui Cong Tho, the students named on the list received this scholarship has partly proved their excellence, progress, efforts in learning, practice. At the same time, the scholarship certificate is also a priority for them on the path to finding a job and increasing their chances of studying in other countries, especially in Germany.
