The two-day event, jointly held by GreenViet Biodiversity Conservation Center, PanNature and the University of Da Nang, has brought together around 150 delegates representing social organisations, forest owners, scientists, researchers and leaders of relevant agencies.

The conference offers a platform for the sharing of good models and lessons in protecting natural resources, while highlighting the important role played by the community in supervising, managing and sharing values of natural resources.

A number of outstanding presentations were delivered on the Saturday session, including “Co-managing natural resources around Japan’s Biwa Lake”, “Model of co-managing Lak Lake surface in Dak Lak province”, “Measures to manage natural resources in Da Nang”, and “Policy recommendations for natural resource protection and sustainable development”.

In his remarks, Nguyen Nho Trung, chairman of the Da Nang municipal People’s Council, expressed his wish that, through the seminar, Da Nang’s authorities would acquire valuable lessons of experience and work out rational solutions to the management, exploitation, use and protection of natural resources.
