Chairman of the PPC works with Tan Phu Dong district

On March 11, the delegation of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC), led by Chairman of the PPC Le Văn Huong and representatives of provincial departments, agencies, worked with Tan Phu Dong district.

At the meeting, representatives of Tan Phu Dong district reported about the water for people’s life, with the delegation reported on the status of water, the handling Tan Long ferry issue, the progress construction of the district administrative center,  the infrastructure project of the district center.

About the water for people’s life, Phu Thanh commune, Phu Dong commune, Tan Thoi commune has stoped supplying water from Mach 11 because of the extremely risk of lacking water. Remain communes has not water or water source is not guaranteed. The first barge carried water to Phu Thanh station on the afternoon of Mach 12.

As the plan, the barges transports fresh water for people from now until installing water pipelines through Tan Phu Dong district.

Representatives of  the Department of Transport and the Department of Planning - Investment also further clarified with the delegation about the handling Tan Long ferry landing, the source of capital invested in the district administrative center, the infrastructure project of the district center.

Speaking at the meeting, Chariman of the PPC Le Van Huong directed that the departments, relevant agencies needed to cooperate closely to solve the problem of water for people’s life, advoiding lacking of water.

Two water companies had to coordinate to ensure clean water supply for people. Two units required specific solutions as well as propagandized people to use water economically and give reasonble price to limit the waste of water resource.

The People's Committee of Tan Phu Dong needed to study and review time as well as the capacity of contractors buiding the district administrative center, the infrastructure project of the district center.

The Department of Transportation needed to solve Tan Long ferry landing immediately and having many specific plans to ensure the ferry to run throughout, contributing to the economic development of this islet district.
