General Secretary Trong encouraged the honourees to build on the attained achievements, work to maintain brands and prestige in the trade circle and contribute further to the cause of national modernisation, industrialisation, construction and defence.

Delegates reported to the Party leader on their outstanding achievements, while pledging to make constant efforts in order to fulfill their tasks and contribute to building their community and an increasingly prosperous and civilised Vietnam.

The 30 collectives and individuals honoured this year were selected thoroughly from 184 entries introduced by 43 cities and provinces, including 11 in the economic sector, eight in socio-culture, four in national defence and security, five in science and technology and two in the building of the Party and the political system.

At the meeting, General Secretary Trong sent gifts and a letter of praise to collectives and individuals honoured in the “Vietnam’s Glory – 30 Years of Reform” programme.

In the letter, the Party leader warmly applauded the 30 honoured collectives and individuals for their outstanding achievements in the fields of politics, economics, socio-culture, defence and security and foreign affairs, which have contributed to the cause of reform, construction and protection of the socialist Vietnamese fatherland.

He expressed his belief that the honourees will build on their accomplishments and continue doing their utmost to make significant contributions to the national modernisation, industrialisation, construction and defence.
