Under the chair of NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, the committee gave their opinions concerning the approval of the proposed appointment of two justices in the Supreme People’s Court, and gave their opinions on the eastern North-South expressway project.

Both issues were raised prior to the opening of the NA’s third session.

However, as they needed more time to be prepared, particularly in terms of personnel work, the Standing Committee delayed the issues until the 11th meeting for further discussion, before suggesting the parliament include them in the third session’s agenda.
