Tien Giang People's Council convenes 4th session

The Tien Giang provincial People's Council ninth tenure opened its fourth session on July 11, in which the People's Council is due to report on the socio-economic situation of the southern economic hub in the first six months and key tasks for the second half of 2017.

On the first working day, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee and the leaders of the provincial departments and agencies passed the reports on activities of the Provincial People's Council in the first half of the year and key tasks for the second half of 2017; the socio-economic situation in the first half of the year and the orientation of tasks in the last 6 months of 2017; To sum up a number of groups reflected the opinions and aspirations of people in the province and suggesting building the administration.

The Provincial People's Committee will submit the submissions attached to the draft resolution proposing the Provincial People's Council to issue a number of resolutions: the Resolution on medium-term public investment plan 2016-2020 and public investment plan 2017; The Resolution to adopt the revised land using plan up to 2020 and the final land using plan (2016-2020) of Tien Giang province.

Speaking at the opening, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Van Danh, said that in the first six months of 2017, the political and social situation in the city has been maintained, with economic growth at 9.56% and social order and security guaranteed, reflecting the province's great efforts in promoting socio-economic development, etc…

Danh suggested delegates focus on discussing important issues that closely relate to the current situation to meet the development requirements of the province as well as to meet the expectations of the province’s voters.
