Checking the situation on implementation of the law on citizen reception in Tien Giang

On August 16, the delegation of the Government Inspectorate, led by Deputy Director of Legal Department Nguyen Quoc Van, worked with Tien Giang provincial People's Committee (PPC) on the implementation of the law on citizen reception in Tien Giang province from July 1, 2014- June 1, 2017.

According to the report, the work of receiving citizens, settling complaints and denunciations has always been paid attention to leading and directing by the party committee and the local authority. So that, the implementation has achieved many important results and this work is in order step by step in accordance with the law.

The Board of citizen reception at each level has been strengthened, concentrating on citizen reception and handling of petitions, ensuring the interest of people to make complaints and denunciations. During the period, the provincial citizen reception points received 13,275 arrivals with 18,081 people coming to the Board of citizen reception, reception places at all levels and branches to state their aspirations, sending complaints, complaints, denunciations, recommendations and reflections. Branches and levels have received 6,025 petitions. Through classification, there are 865 complaints, 231 denunciations, 3,721 disputes, petitions, reports, etc…

However, the work of citizen reception in Tien Giang province also has some difficulties such as: civil servants in charge of citizen reception at commune level are concurrent so they face pressure in work, the implementation of policy for people received citizen is not synchronized, the infrastructure facilities of the reception of citizens at commune and town level are limited, etc…

The PPC and some departments, branches and localities have proposed that the Government Inspectorate should provide specific guidance on measures to deal with violations of citizens' rights and obligations, the issue of information dissemination of complaints and denunciations from the central to local level to closely control the process of settling complaints and denunciations, etc…

Deputy Director of Legal Department under the Inspection Department of the Government Nguyen Quoc Van highly appreciated the interest of the leaders and the provincial government in the citizen reception, the settlement of complaints and denunciations of citizens, the procedures administrative and administrative procedures in the province in recent years. At the same time, the province's comments and petitions should be acknowledged to consider amending and supplementing the current the Law on Reception of Citizens.
