The Tien Giang provincial People's Council inspects the management of public land

On September 12, the delegation of the Tien Giang provincial People's Council led by Vice Chairwoman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Council inspected the management of unused public land in Cai Be district and the Tien Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

According to the report of the Cai Be district People's Committee, the total area of public land in the district has had over 782 hectares with 702 land plots including 61 unused public land plots with an area of 2.94 hectares in which 17,800 square hectares managed but not allocated to individuals and organizations; 11,560 square meters public land allocated but no longer needed to use.

According to the report of the Tien Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the total area of public land allocated but not unused was over 10,092 square meters; 11,243 square meters public land allocated but no longer needed to use, etc... In general, the management of land has been inadequate in planning as well as in the use land planing; the situation of encroachment has still been popular and can not be treated, etc…

At the meeting, delegates as well as members of the inspection delegation analyzed the constraints and difficulties in managing unused public land, simultaneously suggested the delegation to review the proposal of the Provincial People's Committee as well as the concerned industries soon removed the difficulties to avoid waste of land but not yet used.

The delegation also came to the actual monitoring of public land in Co Co market area, the district Road 78 to My Luong commune, the alluvial ground in Cai Be district.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Council Nguyen Thi Sang acknowledged the comments and recommendations of the local authorities as well as the Tien Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism about the situation of unused public land management in the area; therefore, she noted that the units need to intensify the examination and review of unused public land, especially in case of improper use of land in oder to ensure strict management, effective use of the public land fund, etc ...
