Deputy Minister of Home Affairs works with Tien Giang province on administrative reform

On September 29, the delegattion of Ministry of Home Affairs led by Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Trong Thua has worked with Tien Giang province on the work of administrative reform. According to the report of the Tien Giang Department of Home Affairs, up to September 2017, the PPC promulgated 21 decisions and documents ensured compliance with the requirements of direction and management of socio-economic development of the locality; published 2,100 lists of administrative procedures.

The province has had 49 departments, 11 district-level People's Committees and 173 commune-level People's Committees carrying out interconnected software for management of documents and management. The province has implemented online public service delivery with 1,500 level 2 services; 795 level 3 services and 114 level 4 services. At present, most state administrative agencies at provincial, district and commune levels have implemented the one-stop mechanism, inter- one-stop mechanism, etc…

In addition, the delegation also researched and worked with the province on the implementation of national target programs on new rural construction, sustainable poverty reduction, the implementation of the law on cooperatives, etc…

Chairman of the PPC Le Van Huong said that the work of administrative reform and national target programs implemented in Tien Giang continued to improve and achieve certain results. However, the implementation process still has has limitations so that Tien Giang province expected the delegation, Ministry of Home Affairs and related ministries and agencies to pay attention and help the work of local administrative reform as well as the national target program.

Speaking at the working session, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Trong Thua highly appreciated the results that Tien Giang province achieved in the work of administrative reform as well as national target programs. In particular, in order for the work of administrative reform to become more effective and responsive to state management requirements, he requested that Tien Giang to continue to closely follow and effectively implement the work of administrative reform plan.

In the coming time, the annual plan will be feasible, practical, and quality; to promote the work of administrative reform propaganda; to focus on leading and directing the implementation of administrative reform task in all branches and levels, particularly, to pay attention to perform the roles and responsibilities of the leaders in administrative reform task.
