Party, State leaders pay tribute to former PM Phan Van Khai

ABO/NDO – The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), the National Assembly, the President, the Government, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee held a State funeral for former Politburo member and Prime Minister Phan Van Khai at Thong Nhat Hall in Ho Chi Minh City on March 20.

On the same day, a solemn tribute-paying service was held at the International Convention Centre in Hanoi for the former PM.

Comrade Phan Van Khai was a former member of the CPV Central Committee of the V, VI, VII, VIII, IX tenures; former Politburo member of the VII, VIII, IX tenures; permanent member of the Politburo of the VIII tenure; and former Prime Minister and National Assembly deputy of the VIII, IX, X and XI tenures.
