To focus on 28 key tasks in the last 6 months of the year

ABO - On July 4, the Executive Committee of the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee held the 19th conference to preliminarily review the implementation of political tasks in the first six months and deploy the direction and tasks in the last six months of 2018.

After six months of implementing political tasks in 2018, the Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee focused on leading the implementation of measures to maintain economic growth at a decent level. The economic growth (GRDP at price compared with 2010) reached 7.2% in the first six months of 2018.

About the economic structure in GRDP, the region I accounted for 41.9%, the region II accounted for 28.8%, the region III (including product tax) accounted for 29.3% (the year’s resolution as 37.2%; 30%, 32.8%), while the first half of 2017 was 44.3%; 26.6%; 29.1%.

The export turnover reached USD 1.27 billion, reached 48.1% (the year’s resolution as USD2.65 billion), up 6.8% over the same period in 2017.

The total state budget revenue reached VND 4,756.3 billion, reached 59.6% of the plan (the year’s resolution as VND7.980 billion).

The total local budget expenditure  was VND4,953.4 billion, reached 48.5% of the plan; of which, the development investment expenditure was VND 1,665.5 billion, equivalent to 49.2% of the plan (according to the year’s resolution, the local budget expenditures as VND 10,233.6 billion, investment expenditure as VND 3,383 billion).

The total social investment capital was VND 11,600 billion, equivalent to 36.8% (the year’s resolution as VND 31,500 - 32,000 billion), down by 6.4% over the same period of 2017.

In order to successfully implement the Resolution on political tasks in 2018, the Executive Committtee of the Provincial Party Committee set out some contents to be implemented in the last six months of the year with 28 key tasks in the fields.

The conference focused discussion, analysis, clarification of the causes of shortcomings; setting out solutions to achieve the goals set in the coming time.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Huong preliminary reported the results of the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the first 6 months of 2018 and the direction and tasks in the last six months of 2018.

At the same time, he explained and stressed some contents such as: economic growth; basic construction work; planning of plants and animals; toilet issues in schools, hospitals; tourism development; administrative reform, etc...

Concluding the conference, Secretary of the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Danh stressed that the Provincial People's Committee should review and re-examine the calculation of socio-economic development indicators, predicting the indicators not reaching or reaching low in oder to direct focus implementation. For individual cases which cannot be implemented, it is necessary to propose or suitably adjust but try to implement the set targets, etc…

For the investment promotion conference, the Provincial People's Committee should thoroughly review all stages; the Provincial Police need to have the plan to ensure absolute safety for the conference; the agencies, units, subcommittees closely coordinate to ensure the completion of the assigned tasks, etc…
