The NA deputies of the Tien Giang province meet voters:

To strengthen the fight against corruption

ABO – Continuing the program of meeting voters before the sixth session of the 14th National Assembly (NA), on October 2, the NA deputies of the Tien Giang province, including Vo Van Binh, Nguyen Minh Son, Nguyen Kim Tuyen, Nguyen Thanh Hai and Nguyen Hoang Mai met voters in Yen Luong commune, Thanh Tri commune and Thanh Cong commune, Go Cong Tay district) and voters in ward 5, My Tho city.

Voters in ward 5, My Tho city and Go Cong Tay district said that some senior officials of the Party and State have recently been handled for corrupt behavior. Voters were very sympathetic and supportive. However, the treatment of this behavior was not very serious.

Voters proposed that in the coming NA session, the NA deputies of the Tien Giang province should have comments on the Law on Corruption Prevention, especially to pay intention to prevention and measures to recover the corrupt money to create confidence for the people.

Explaining the issue, Deputy Secretary of the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee, Head of the NA deputies of the Tien Giang province’s delegation Vo Van Binh explained that this is a legitimate issue interested in by many voters. At the upcoming NA session, the Law on Anti-Corruption Law will be passed. The NA deputies will discuss and comment specifically on the draft law, so that the law promulgated to ensure the strictness. In addition, people should improve their supervisory role in fighting corruption.

Voters at Thanh Cong commune were urgently on environmental pollution and noise pollution because of karaoke family increase.

On this issue, Deputy Secretary of the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee Vo Van Binh emphasized: "The consciousness of keeping environmental sanitation of the people is very poor. Therefore, functional sectors need to reconsider the criteria when recognizing cultural families in order to raise awareness of the people in preserving the environment".

In addition, the NA's deputies, district and commune leaders also responded to voter many related issues such as the increasing crime situation among youths; landslide situation in the Mekong Delta, including the Tien Giang problem; solving problems arising from the construction of rural roads, etc...

* Previously, on October 1, the NA deputies of the Tien Giang province also met voters at some communes of Chau Thanh district, Go Cong Dong district and Go Cong town.

At the meeting, the NA deputies announced the expected contents of the sixth session of the 14th NA. The meeting will be held from October 22 to November 20. At this session, the NA will consider approving nine bills, commenting on six bills, considering socio-economic issues, state budgets, monitoring, and other important issues, etc...
