Seminar discusses former Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Le Van Pham's life and career

ABO - On January 4, the Standing Tien Giang provincial Committee organized the seminar on the life and career of comrade Le Van Pham (1922-1990), former Member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of Tien Giang provincial Party Committee (period 1976-1986).

This event saw attendance of Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Danh, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and comrades of the former Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee during the periods.

Comrade Le Van Pham, alias Chin Hai, was born in 1922 at Ba Beo hamlet, My Phuoc Tay village, Cai Lay district, My Tho province (now as Ba Beo hamlet, My Phuoc Tay commune, Cai Lay town, Tien Giang province) in a poor peasant family with a patriotic tradition. He joined the revolution very early and through many different working positions.

After the liberation of the South (April 30, 1975), when merging My Tho province, Go Cong province and My Tho city into Tien Giang province in 1976, he elected as Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Tien Giang provincial Party Committee from 1976-1986.

During 45 years of revolutionary activities, comrade Le Van Pham had great contributions in the cause of fighting for national independence, national construction and defense, especially in the early years of the renovation, contributing to conduct Tien Giang a firm step on the path of rich people, strong country, fair, democratic and civilized society.

The seminar noted the comments of former leaders of Tien Giang province on the draft of the book with theme “The life and career of comrade Le Van Pham” about the role of him in the cause of liberating people ethnicity and in the construction of the country, especially the contribution of comrade to Tien Giang province.
