In his recent letter sent to the Party Central Committee’s Inspection and Internal Affairs Commissions; the Offices of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly and the President; the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; provincial-level People’s Committees; ministries, ministry-level agencies and government bodies; and the Central Citizen Reception Committee, the Government leader praised the citizen reception officials’ efforts to effectively fulfill their assigned tasks, contributing to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people, and ensuring political security, social order and safety.

In order to enhance the efficiency of citizen reception in the time ahead, especially shortly after the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival, PM Phuc urged the Government Inspectorate to focus on inspecting and facilitating the handling of complaints and denunciations, particularly concerning the complicated and prolonged cases involving many people.

Relevant agencies, especially all-level authorities, must send competent and authorised officials, who have a thorough understanding of social work and are capable of mass mobilisation work, to participate in the reception of citizens at the Central Citizen Reception Centre, he requested.

The leader asked the provincial-level People’s Committees to work effectively with the Government Inspectorate, the Ministry of Public Security and relevant agencies to effectively perform the work of citizen reception and ensure social order, especially in dealing with the cases which involve many people, and to strictly handle individuals violating the law and causing social disorder.
