According to the report, the socio-economic situation of Tien Giang in the first month of 2020 achieved positive results over the same period such as: Attracting two new investment projects with a total registered capital of over 260 billion VND; the number of newly established enterprises increased 7 percent in the number of enterprises; the index of industrial production increased 5.5 percent;  the total retail sales of goods and services increased 12 percent; the number of tourists increased 8 percent; etc…

Leaders of departments and agencies informed about the prevention of the acute respiratory infection caused by the novel coronavirus; the results of the flower street, flower market organization  as well as activities to serve people in the spring festival; situation of consumer goods for Tet; prevention of salinity drought; ensuring security and order before and after Tet, etc…

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the PPC Le Van Huong highly appreciated the work of caring for Tet as well as organizing activities to serve the Lunar New Year. On the key tasks in the coming time, he emphasized: It is necessary to consolidate the disease prevention and control steering committee, promoting the propaganda so that people and the authorities can prevent the disease in time.

It is necessary to concentrate on well implementing the army recruitment, the work of poverty alleviation, the progress of building a new countryside; preventing and fighting against drought, protecting production and daily life of people, etc...
