Binh Xuan commune recognized as new rural area

ABO - On March 5, the Tien Giang provincial Standing Steering Committee for National Targeted Program proclaimed Binh Xuan commune of Go Cong town as new rural commune. This is last commune in Go Cong town recognized as new rural commune.

This event saw an attendance of Standing Vice Chairman of the Tien Giang People's Committee Le Van Nghia; Head of the Organization Committee of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Nha and departments, agencies, unions and numerous local people.

After ten years of building new rural areas, Binh Xuan commune has got significant development. People's lives have been increasingly improved as well as the rural face has many new prosperous. The production value of farming sector in the commune reached over 127 billion VND. The value of breeding was more than 37 billion VND; the aquaculture and fishing was over 116 billion VND; the production value of industry and handicrafts was more than 7 billion VND; the average income of people was 50.52 million VND/ year, etc...

At the ceremony, the Tien Giang People's Committee awarded the emulation flag and welfare project worth 1 billion VND to Binh Xuan commune.
