200 studious poor students in Cai Be district granted scholarships

On January 14, the Provincial Association for Protection of Poor Patients, Disabled People and Orphan Children in collabration with Cai Be district People’s Committee and Sheraton Sai Gon Hotel-Ocean Palace Joint Venture Co. Ltd awarded sholarships to 200 studious poor students in Cai Be district.

Chairman of the Provincial Association for Protection of Poor Patients, Disabled People and Orphan Children Phan Van Ha, CEO of Sheraton Sai Gon Hotel Scott Hodgetts, Deputy General Director of Saigon Tourist Company Le Ngoc Co, etc… attended this ceremony.

At the ceremony, the sponsors has awarded 200 scholarships and 4,000 notebooks to studious poor students overcome difficulties of 11 junior high school and high school in Cai Be district.
 
In particular, Sheraton Sai Gon Hotel-Ocean Palace Joint Venture Co. Ltd has awarded 200 scholarships (each worth 1,5 million VND) with the total of 300 million VND. JSC Saigon 2 Construction Inspection 2 awarded 4,000 notebooks with the total of more than 31 million VND to share a part of difficulties as welll as motivate them to overcome difficult in oder to get high achievement in academic.
 
In addition, Deputy General Director of Saigon Tourist Company Le Ngoc Co donated 1 scholarship worth 10 million VND to Pham Thi Huynh Nga (students of Thien Ho Duong high school) who got blood cancer with particularly difficult circumstance.
 
On this occasion, the Provincial People’s Committee also awarded certificate of merit to Sheraton Sai Gon Hotel-Ocean Palace Joint Venture Co. Ltd thanks to contributing fund for work of charity society in the province in 2016.
