Desiring to have a solution to restore Lo Ren star apple soon

On February 10, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Le Van Huong, Deputy Chairman of the PPC Pham Anh Tuan and leaders of Chau Thanh district People’s Committee chaired the referendum on the issue planting Lo Ren star apple.

At the referendum, farmers planted Lo Ren star apple mentioned the situation of planting this specialty fruit in recent years.

Accordingly, in recent years, Lo Ren star apple weakened fastly. The dry root rot disease made damage on a large area but the prevention and treatment was not effective.

Although farmers wanted to have attachment to this specialty fruit, they “said goodbye” to star apple because of low economic efficiency.

Farmers proposed the district, the scientists find out soon the cause of the recession and dry root rot disease on Lo Ren star apple as well as the recovery solution.

Speaking at the refendum, Chairman of the PPC stressed that Lo Ren star apple is speciality tree so it is unable to oblivion. The province will strive to restore and develop specialized areas planted Lo Ren star apple, improving the economic efficiency of this fruit. Through this, he hopes people continue to keep trying and to have attachment to this specialty fruit.
