Doctors asked to make more efforts in caring for people's health

Doctors and medical officials should promote their potential as well as make efforts to fulfill their mission of caring for, protecting and improving people’s health.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam made the statement while meeting with doctors, experts, leaders and officials of healthcare sectors over the generations in Hanoi on February 23.

Addressing the reception, on behalf of the Government, Deputy PM Dam extended greetings to medical officials, experts and doctors on the occasion of Vietnam Doctors’ Day (February 27).
 
He also gave his thanks to them for their efforts in overcoming all difficulties to significantly contribute to the sector’s development as well as the cause of caring for people’s health.
 
The Deputy PM stressed major tasks for the medical sector in the coming time, including development of the staff of doctors with high skills, promoting preventive medicine, particularly the deployment of integration and connectivity of health data for citizens nationwide.
 
At the meeting, doctors and medical officials expressed their pleasure at the Government’s attention to the medical sector in the past year, helping the sector to have strong development and gain the people’s confidence.
 
On the same day, the Hanoi Labour Federation held a ceremony to honour nearly 100 outstanding doctors who have significantly contributed to the cause of caring for people’s health as well as the development of the City’s medical sector.
 
According to Chairwoman of Hanoi Labour Federation Nguyen Thi Tuyen, despite numerous difficulties and challenges, Hanoi’s medical sector gained important achievements in healthcare, disease prevention as well as in the management and development of medical facilities.
