Tien Giang Association of Fellow Countrymen meets in Can Tho city

On February 18, at Ninh Kieu hotel in Can Tho city, Tien Giang Association of FellowCountrymen at Can Tho city held a meeting with leaders of Tien Giang provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee.

Deputy Secretary of Tien Giang provincial Party Committee Le Van Huong, Deputy Chairman of Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Duc, Deputy Chairman of Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee Pham Anh Tuan and representattives of departments, agencies, etc… as well as more than 300 Tien Giang people living in Can Tho city, attended this meeting.

At the meeting, Deputy of Tien Giang Association of FellowCountrymen Phan Van Ho reported the result of mutual affection activities of Tien Giang fellow countrymen at Can Tho city and activity toward homeland in 2016, including many activities promoting study and finance, social welfare.

Deputy Chairman of Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee Pham Anh Tuan briftly reported the situation of socioeconomic development of the province in 2016 and thanked Tien Giang fellow countrymen at Can Tho city sincerely about their mental and physical contribution in past years. He also wished Tien Giang fellow countrymen new year with joys, success in life, etc… There are about 300 Tien Giang households lived and worked in Can Tho city and 800 students studying at universities at Can Tho city.

On this occasion, Tien Giang Association of Fellow Countrymen at Can Tho city awarded 20 scholarships to Tien Giang students who met difficulties, studying at Can Tho University and Can Tho University of Medicine.
