Action month for work safety, hygiene launched

On the morning of May 4-5, the Steering Committee of the provincial labor work safety, hygiene coordinated with the Provincial Labor Federation to hold the ceremony launching the first 2017 “Action month for work safety, hygiene” and the 2017 Worker’s Month. Deputy Chairman of Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Duc, head of the Steering Committee of the provincial labor work safety, attended this event.

The 2017 Worker’s Month under the theme of "Year for trade unionists’ benefits” in association with the first 2017 “Action month for work safety, hygiene” under the theme of “Promoting training on labor hygiene and safety to prevent labor accidents and occupational diseases” took place from May 5 to the end of May 31, 2017 with many exciting and meaningful activities. This is the peak period to focus on protecting the right and legitimate interest of trade unionists, workers and employees of the province as well as motivating employees to emulate labor and production.

At the ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the PPC Tran Thanh Duc suggested departments, localities, enterprises, employers and individual workers to perform well tasks such as: Regularly raise laborers’ awareness of labor safety and hygiene, their role and position in the period of industrialization and modernization; made efforts in catching laborers’ aspirations for timely support, contributing to stabilizing production and business, developing harmonious and advanced relations among enterprises, etc...

On this occasion, the General Labor Federation of Vietnam, the Labor Safety Department, the Provincial Labor Federation, the Provincial Deparment of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs awarded the emulation flag, certificate of merit and certificate of merit to collectives and individuals achieved outstanding achievements in the "green - clean - beautiful, safe labor hygiene" movement in 2016.
