CEP Fund grants 124 scholarships to poor students

The Capital Aid Fund for Employment of the Poor (CEP Fund) on August 18 awarded scholarships to 124 studious poor students in Tien Giang province. Vice Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh city Labor Confederation Le Thi Kim Thuy and Vice Chairwoman of Tien Giang province Confederation Le Thanh Tien attended this event.

124 scholarships were awarded to studious poor students in Chau Thanh dsitrict and My Tho city with the total amount of VND 269 million. This is one of parts of the CEP scholarship program for the 2017-2018 school year. The program will support 9,279 study gifts and 2,081 scholarships for poor students with a total budget of nearly VND7.4 billion.

The scholarships aim to encourage disadvantaged students to overcome difficulties and continue their studies.
