Tien Giang Women's Assistance Fund for supporting development economy:

Giving 400 scholarships to students overcoming difficulties

On August 4, the Tien Giang Women's Assistance Fund for supporting development economy (as the Women's Assistance Fund) gave scholarships to children of poor women's families in the province.

Granting scholarships to children of poor women is the annual activity of the Fund for women supporting. In this new school year, 400 scholarships will be presnted to students achieved high academic achievement. Children are members of the fund poor students, members of the fund’s children disabled, etc ... supported by the Fund for Women to provide loans in production, business and economic development to increase income for the family.

Each scholarship includes schoolbag, notebook and 1 VND million in cash. The total value of this scholarship is over VND 400 million.

Over the past 13 years, the Women's Assistance Fund has not only helped many members with disadvantaged and disable condition to receive loans and escape from poverty as well as present scholarships to children of women members for helping them to have more conditions in learning.

Deputy Chairman of the Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee Tran Thanh Duc noted the achievements of the Women Support Fund in supporting funds to disadvantaged women in the province. He hopes that in the coming time, the fund will expand the subjects as orphans and poor students in the province in order to support them firmly to go to school.
