The innovation on the Cam Son heroic homeland

After Ba Rai victory, there were names of many lands as well as people become the pride of the inhabitant here. In peaceful time, the Ba Rai River continued the task of connecting traffic circuits, raising silt, etc…, creating conditions for Cam Son commune and other communes in the region to continuously develop.

Returning Cam Son commune in September, we easily felt changes of the commune in the way to the new rural commune to be launched on later this year as expected. In recent years, the commune has mobilized well resources among the people to complete the infrastructure, especially the transportation system. Up to now, 100% of roads of commune were covered with green stones and over 58% of main roads of hamlets solidified. Only in the last 8 months, the commune had 6 transport works upgraded with the investment of more than VND6.2 billion from the state budget. Through advocacy, people donated 9,000 square meter of land to complete the works soon. Nguyen Van Tinh, a resident in hamlet 2, was very excited and proud of the contribution of this project.

Over the past ten years, Cam Son commune has promoted its economic strength with key crops such as durian, blue-skin grapefruit, Thailand jackfruit. At present, over 80% of the agricultural land has been converted into a specialized garden. The living standard of the people is better. The average per capita income is VND45 million per year. The poverty rate is reduced to 2.7%. The departments, unions of the commune strengthened the transfer of science and technology, loans, replication of economic models to help each other to escape poverty sustainability.

Secretary of the Cam Son commune Party Committee as Chairman of the Cam Son commune People's Committee emphasized: Following the tradition of the title of “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces”, the Party Committee, authority and people of Cam Son commune always determined the main task concentrated on socio-economic development and construction in this period as completed 19 criteria of the new rural commune. In the past years, the spirit of solidarity has been promoted by the Party, government and people to fulfill each criterion as planned and approaching the target of launching a new rural commune by the end of this year.
