The Tien Giang Department of Health celebrates Vietnam Doctors' Day

At the meeting, delegates of departments, unions, elite doctors and health workers were listened to Uncle Ho's letter to health workers; Letter from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to send officials and employees of Tien Giang province's health sector on the occasion of Vietnam Doctors' Day; reviewing the tradition of Vietnamese physicians through various periods of time, devoted to the cause of caring for the people's health.

In 2017, most of basic indicators of Tien Giang health sector have reached and exceeded the plan with outstanding results. On prevention work, the health sector maintained good control and controlled of diseases. The Ministry of Health's "criteria for evaluating hospital quality" was well implemented by hospitals. 100% of hospitals in Tien Giang province met the criteria of hospital quality according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health. The quality of medical examination and treatment was improved. ; A number of key health projects have been set up for people's health care. In 2017, the percentage of communes met the national criteria for health in the province was 94.7%.

Deputy Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee Tran Thanh Duc praised efforts to perform the task of caring for people's health in the past year. He suggested that in the coming time, the sector should continue to improve the capacity and quality of preventive medicine and disease control, contributing to the good health of people in the province.

On this occasion, the Tien Giang provincial General Hospital received the government’s emulation flag, one individual and sixs units received certificates of merit from the Prime Minister and five collectives and eight individuals received certificates of merit from the Minister of Health.
