Compared with the target of health insurance covered by the PPC, there were 10 out of 11 districts, cities and towns exceeded the target including Go Cong Dong district (4.9%); Chau Thanh district (4%); Tan Phuoc district (3.3%), etc... However, compared to the national health insurance coverage rate of 85.6%, the rate of the province is still low, especially unequally participants; the student population, household participation rate is low.

With these achievements, the PPC awarded 29 certificates of merit to individuals and organizations who completed and exceeded health insurance coverage.

Addressing the conference, Deputy Chairman of the PPC Tran Thanh Duc suggested sectors and levels to need good coordination are good as well as specific plans of each level.

In 2018, to achieve the coverage rate of health insurance compared to the population of 82.5%, the departments, localities actively advise and try to implement the tasks and solutions by groups of objects, to consider this as an important indicator to focus on. It is necessary to focus on workers, buyers, students and households; to promote socialization, mobilizing health insurance for disadvantaged people, etc...
